Defending Hollywoodbets Super League champions, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies maintained their three-point gap at the top of the table after a narrow 1-0 win over the University of Fort Hare. The clash took place at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Saturday (22 June 2024).
The visitors would feel hard-done by after the Brazilians were awarded a soft penalty in referee’s optional time – this was the first ever match-up between the two sides.
With the victory, Sundowns Ladies moved to 41 points after 16 games.

They are three points ahead of second placed University of Johannesburg (UJ Ladies) who also brushed aside City Lads Ladies 1-0 on Saturday at the UJ Stadium in Soweto. After 15 games, the Capetonians are on 35 points – three adrift of UJ Ladies, while TS Galaxy Queens dropped down to fifth spot on 27 points.

JVW jumped to fourth spot after an emphatic 4-0 win over the struggling Lindelani Ladies in Durban. This was Lindelani Ladies’ 13th defeat in 15 games.
