Gauteng’s Tuks Ladies continued with their impressive run when collected their second win in as many matches to book a last four spot at the 2022 Sasol League National Playoffs currently underway in Polokwane.
Led by former Banyana Banyana player, Maude Khumalo, Tuks Ladies have now scored convincing 3-0 victories in two games to sit on six points, without conceding in Group A.

Day Two saw Tuks dish out another outstanding performance to brush aside Central University of Technology – with first half goals from Mamokoena Monoe and Gugu Dhlamini, while Lethabo Ledwaba netted the only goal in the second period of the match.
In the opening fixture of the day, TS Galaxy surrendered a two-goal lead as they lost 2-3 against Copperbelt Ladies in another thrilling encounter.
Njalo Fonzana (24’) and Rennika Khoza (36’) had given the Mpumalanga side what seemed like a comfortable 2-0 lead at the break.

But a Copperbelt Ladies dug deep and reduced the deficit through Fiona Namanyana from the penalty spot with 13 minutes left on the clock.
The drama continued to unfold as Rethabile Ndlovu levelled matters in the 87th minute before Karabo Sethosa gave the Limpopo side victory in referee’s optional time for a memorable 3-2 comeback from behind win.
In the last match of the day Northern Cape’s Royal Wizards’ chances of progressing to the next round ended up in smoke as they lost their second match in the competition.
They were defeated 2-0 by NWU Tawana.

Nothing separated the two teams at recess and it took all of 81 minutes for the net to be shaken when Zanile Khoza put Tawana into the lead. Nine minutes later Jane Mkhonza confirmed victory when she netted the second for her side.
There is all to play for as three spots in the semi-finals are up for grabs,
The first match will pit Free State’s Central University of Technology (CUT) against Sophakama FC from the Eastern Cape at 09h00.
This will be followed by the clash between NWU Tawana and Lindelani Ladies at 12h30, while Copperbelt Ladies and Dangerous Heroes Ladies will wrap things up with the last match of the day.

The two teams finishing first and second will gain promotion to the elite league of South African Women’s Football, the Hollywoodbets Super League.
