Sizzling hot midweek action in the Hollywoodbets Super League

With the international break coming up, more midweek matches have been organised in the Hollywoodbets Super League, and once again Week 10 promises to spring up some surprises.

The programme starts early with Richmond United away to Durban Ladies for a date at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium at 13h00.

The sixth-placed visitors will be looking for maximum points to cement their top eight position while the hosts will be eager to start pushing their way up the ladder.

Six other matches will kick off at 15h00.

At the Montshioa Stadium in the North West province, bottom of the table Golden Ladies will be in the hunt for their first victory in the league to add to their two points in the campaign.

They face a resurgent Ma-Indies who are seventh on the table and will want all three points to keep withing touching distance of the pace setters.

First Touch could have a long day in the office when they host log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies at the Baroka Village in Lebowakgomo.

Dikgoshigadi have won two matches in 2022, while the Brazilians have lost only once with eight wins to their name.

The defending champions have collected 24 points – four ahead of second-placed JVW, and the University of the Western Cape who are tied on 20 points each.

Masandawana will be looking to increase the gap at the top so they can breathe easily going forward.

Coal City Wizards entertain Thunderbirds in a midtable clash at the Puma Stadium in Witbank.

The battle of the strugglers will take place at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium in Qgeberha when number 15 host number 14 – newcomers City Lads Ladies vs the Tsunami Queens.

Both are winless in this campaign and the hunt for the elusive three points continues.

Students will collide when third-placed UWC face off against the visiting University of Johannesburg FC at the UWC Stadium.

The hosts have become the team to watch after they orchestrated the downfall of the defending champions Sundowns in a 2-0 win, the only side to do so thus far in the league.

TUT players celebrate one of their goals

TUT will make the long trip to Cape Town to take on newcomers Vasco da Gama at the Parow Park Stadium.

Drawing the curtain on the midweek games will be a much-anticipated between JVW and Bloemfontein Celtic in another tough battle between the two sides.

Both have only lost once this season and will want all three points to keep pressure on Sundowns.
