SAFA and Hollywoodbets empower the Super League administrators

The South African Football Association (SAFA) and sponsors Hollywoodbets met this past weekend to discuss ways to improve the Hollywoodbets Super League.

The workshop, held at SAFA House on Sunday, 4 December 2022, was intended to equip and empower the officials from all the 18 clubs that play in the women’s league.

The workshop gave attention to the following essential topics:

  • Leadership
  • Financial Management
  • Sponsorship and Marketing
  • Strategic Management
  • Club and Player Management
  • Data Management | Developing a competitive advantage through data

SAFA COO Lydia Monyepao said the workshop was very successful.

“This programme goes a long way in developing the leaders in the Hollywoodbets Super League clubs,” she said.

“The knowledge and skills that were imparted to them not only equip the participants to lead themselves and others, but also the clubs. When we have leaders who are stepping up and leading, we know that the future of women’s football is bright.”

Hollywoodbets Football Sponsorship Coordinator, Indira Sofia Albuquerque said education is central to the development of the Hollywoodbets Super League clubs.

“We believe that the workshop was a great success in providing the club leaders with the tools and frameworks to further develop and grow the operational and strategic direction of the clubs.”

SAFA and Hollywoodbets are committed to developing women’s football on the continent and a number of future capacity-building programmes will play a key role in achieving this.
