The University of Johannesburg has climbed to the top of the table after coming from behind to defeat hosts City Lads Ladies 3-2 at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium in Gqeberha on Saturday, 30 March 2024.
This was one of only three fixtures this past weekend with the international break coming up.

Most of the players in the domestic league are with the Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana who are in Abuja, Nigeria to continue preparations for the crucial fourth and final 2024 Paris Olympic qualifier against their counterparts, the Super Falcons.
The first leg will take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Friday, 5 April 2024, and the return fixture will be played four days later (Friday, 9 April) at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

Back to the Hollywoodbets Super League, UJ Ladies were a goal down at the break but return from recess with two of their own to take the lead. City Lads Ladies pulled one back for an equalizer, but the visitors had the last laugh, grabbing the winner nine minutes from time.
With one more game played, the result saw them climb to the top of the table on 13 points, just one above the second-placed Sundowns Ladies, who were not in action.
The students have had a good run so far, with four wins, one defeat and a draw after six rounds of fixtures.

Lying in third place is Copperbelt Ladies who have scored the most goals in one match this season when they defeated the struggling Thunderbirds 6-1 on Sunday, 31 March 2024 in Polokwane.
It was a Thandi Rameri and Thembi Munyuku show as they scored a hattrick and a brace respectively, with Nomphelo Yakhuphi chipping in with the other goal.
The only other high scores recorded in 2024 are:
- TS Galaxy Queens 3 – 5 Sundowns Ladies
- JVW 5 – 1 University of Fort Hare
- Sundowns Ladies 5 – 1 Durban Ladies

Copperbelt Ladies is the only team unbeaten in the league this season, with an impressive three victory and three draws – giving them 12 points, level with Sundowns Ladies and the University of Pretoria (Tuks Ladies).
Only in their second year in the Hollywoodbets Super League, the Limpopo side has also scored 16 goals in six games, sharing the accolade with the reigning league champions, while UJ Ladies has netted one goal less.
The defeat was Thunderbirds Ladies’ sixth in a row and are yet to register a point this season.
The Eastern Cape outfit remains the only side that is pointless – on the other hand, Royal AM hasn’t won a match but have collected three points.

In the third and final match of the weekend, Richmond United defeated First Touch Ladies 2-0 in Polokwane.
After a goalless stalemate in the first half, the visiting Northern Cape outfit managed two goals the other side of the break, through Thandeka Ncambe and Michelle Sampson.
Richmond is fifth on the table on 11 points, two adrift of the log leaders.
First Touch is 11th.
