After 13 defeats on the trot, bottom of the table Ma-Indies Ladies managed to halt their losing streak as they held neighbours Copperbelt Ladies to 1-all draw in the Limpopo Derby played in Giyani on Sunday, 24 September 2023.

Ma-Indies Ladies 1 – 1 Copperbelt Ladies
The shared spoils did not help Ma-Indies much as they could only get to seven points – four behind second from bottom Thunderbirds Ladies.
The home side has won only two matches after 24 outings, drawing one. Could this be the turning point that Ma-Indies has been waiting for? There are 18 points to play for (six matches remaining) and, depending on the results of the other games, a lot can still happen.
Newcomers Copperbelt have now taken four points from Ma-Indies this season.

Richmond United 1 – 0 TS Galaxy Queens
TS Galaxy Queens suffered their second loss in a row after been shown stars by Richmond Ladies at Merino Park in De Aar. It was also their fourth of the 2023 campaign.
It was sweet revenge for Northern Cape side who were walloped 5-0 in the first round, and have now registered their first win following two draws and a loss. They remain in eighth position.
The Mpumalanga side hasn’t won in four matches – two draws and two defeats and they dropped one spot down to sixth.

TUT 1 – 0 UJ
The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) claimed three points and the bragging rights when they defeated the University of Johannesburg (UJ Ladies) in Pretoria in the Varsity Derby.
TUT continued where they left off against TS Galaxy midweek, notching up their second win in as many matches.
Prior to this success, they had suffered four back to back losses.

City Lads Ladies 2 – 2 First Touch
City Lads Ladies and First Touch Ladies dished out a feast of goals – but could not be separated at the Isaac Wolfson in Gqeberha as they shared the spoils in a 2-all draw.
This was an improved result for the home side who lost 4-0 to JVW in their previous match.
City Lads lie in 13th position while First Touch is 10th.

Thunderbirds Ladies 0 – 1 University of Pretoria: 15h00
At the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in East London, second from bottom Thunderbirds Ladies could not contain the University of Pretoria (Tuks Ladies).
The visitors laboured to a 1-0 win which helped them to fifth position – their highest in the league as newcomers.
Tuks Ladies did a double on Thunderbirds after a 2-0 win in the corresponding fixture.
With Banyana Banyana players returning from national team duty, all 16 Hollywoodbets Super League teams will be in action – some needing to play catch up – like Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies who haven’t played in about a month.
