A look at the AWCON second round results and qualified teams

Banyana have qualified for their 12th Africa Women’s Cup of Nations tournament in a row, but Nigeria leads by the number of appearances as they will be playing in their 13th tournament.

Botswana, Burundi, Togo and Burkina Faso will be making their debut at the 12-nation women’s football showpiece.

COSAFA will have three representatives at the tournament – South Africa, Botswana and Zambia.

Namibia and Zimbabwe fell in the final round of qualification.

The top four finishers at the tournament will automatically book their place at the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, which will be held from 2-23 July.
