TUT continue to lead the Hollywoodbets Super League table

Hollywoodbets Super League log leaders, the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) continued with their upward trajectory when they walloped Durban Ladies 6-0 in what was the biggest win of the weekend.

After 16 matches, TUT is now on 35 points, five more than the second-placed JVW who had the better of Richmond United, winning 3-1, their third consecutive victory.

This was Durban Ladies’ second loss in a row and their eighth of the season.

City Lads Ladies

Things are getting from bad to worse for newcomers City Lads Ladies who lost 2-0 to the University of the Western Cape. City Lads are in 14th place and have only won twice all season.

Tsunami Queens picked up their first win of the season in 14 encounters when they scored a surprise 1-0 victory over 11thplaced First Touch FC.

Golden Ladies

But the struggle continues for bottom-of-the-table Golden Ladies who suffered their 13th loss of the season after going down 3-0 to Thunderbirds Ladies.

Golden Ladies has only collected three points – all draws – in 16 matches, and are slowly losing the battle to avoid relegation.

The University of Johannesburg scored a narrow 1-0 win over the visiting Coal City Wizards, while Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies also registered the same score line against Vasco da Gama.

Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies

Celtic have only lost once in 16 fixtures, drawing seven and winning the remaining eight, which sees them on position four on 31 points, just one more than the fifth-placed Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies who have been out of action in the league due to the COSAFA Women’s Champions League commitments in Durban.
