The Sasol-sponsored Banyana wasted no time in getting down to business at their base in Rabat, Morocco.
After travelling for just over 17 hours from Johannesburg to Casablanca via Doha, then to Rabat by bus, the South Africans finally arrived their destination on Wednesday evening (22 June).
Following a good night’s rest, preparations for the 2022 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations continued as they held their first training session on Thursday morning (23 June).

Desiree Ellis’ charges have been in camp since Friday, 10 June and departed for North Africa on Tuesday evening.
Banyana Banyana are in Group C with neighbours Botswana, Burundi and Nigeria.
The South Africans start the tournament with a fixture against Nigeria on July 4, with debutants Burundi and Botswana locking horns in the group clash.
