The University of the Western Cape (UWC) has every intention of fighting for top honours when the 2022 Hollywoodbets Super League commences early next month.
The coastal side has acquired 11 new players to better their third finish in the league last season.
In addition, UWC has beefed up their bench with Leah Sweetness Masango to work alongside head coach Thinasonke Mbuli as the assistant.
The players coming on board include Sunflower’s Ntombifikile Ndlovu and Durban Ladies’ Lonathemba Mhlongo – both feature for Banyana Banyana.
The other new players are Oyisa Marhasi, Lindokuhle Gladile, Akholiwe Matsotsi, Katlego Mabuza Keylon Pietersen, Sihle Dlamini, Philisa Jambane, Robyn Coetzee and Unathi Simanyile.
UWC will be hoping with the news signings they will be able to challenge reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies for the title.
