Despite forfeiting three points for late arrival at Hollywoodbets Super League fixture this past weekend, reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are still top of the table ahead of second placed TS Galaxy Queens.
Banyana ba Style were scheduled to meet Royal AM at 1pm at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday (7 June 2025) but only arrived at the venue way after the kickoff time as they believed their match was at 3pm.
SAFA handed the three points to Royal AM and added two goals as well – and the Chloorkop side has now suffered “defeat” and “conceded” for the first time this season.


Royal AM move two spots up to 13th and get a reprieve as they register their second win from 12 games – with two draws and eight losses.
Banyana ba Style remain at the summit on 31 points but the eight-point gap has now been reduced to five by TS Galaxy Queens who won their match on Saturday, defeating City Lads Ladies 3-0 at the Kanyamazane Stadium in Mpumalanga.
The second-placed Rockets are on 26 points and have a game in hand.

JVW captain Robyn Moodaly led from the front with a goal in the first half before substitute Amanda Mthandi pounced in referee’s optional time to seal a 2-0 win against Ezemvelo Women’s FC.

Lying in fourth place is the University of Johannesburg (UJ Ladies) who are on 23 points after a 1-0 win in a Varsity Derby against the University of Cape Town (UCT) at the Kopano Astro.

The University of Fort Hare (UFH) occupies position five after claiming a 2-0 victory in another Varsity Derby against TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies at the TUT Stadium, with the latter dropping down two spots to sixth place.
The University of Pretoria brushed aside Copperbelt Ladies in a 2-0 victory at the Tuks Stadium, while the spoils were shared at the Merino Park Stadium in De Aar following a 1-all draw between hosts Richmond United Ladies and First Touch Ladies. The stalemate has drawn the Northern Cape side to second from bottom.

At the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium, the University of the Western Cape (UWC) brushed aside the struggling Durban Ladies 1-0 with a Sibulele Holweni strike. The KwaZulu Natal outfit is still without a win after 11 rounds of fixtures but have managed just three draws and lie bottom of the table. With the victory, the Capetonians registered their fourth triumph of the season, also from 11 games.
