Thembi Kgatlana ploughs back as she donates soccer boots

The Thembi Kgatlana Foundation’s main mission is to help women footballers in South Africa.

The Atlético Madrid and Banyana Banyana forward put her money where her mouth is when she went back to the University of the Western Cape to donate soccer boots to every player in the ladies team of UWC through her foundation.

Last year she also handed out sanitary towels to the entire squad.

She took to social media to express her gratitude in seeing the players happy after they received their boots for the 2022 Hollywoodbets Super League season.

“My Success Our Success THEMBI KGATLANA FOUNDATION did an extraordinary thing for UWC women’s 2022 squad. Each player received a pair of new boots. Wishing you all the best for the league. Your smiles warm up my heart!,” said Kgatlana on twitter.

In their response, the University believe this gesture will further motivate the squad to do well in 2022. They finished in third place last year.

“For all the years our founder Thembi Kgatlana spent at UWC she went back with the foundation to give the whole squad of 2022 brand new Soccer Boots,” said UWC on the socials.

“This is a new branch that the foundation is focusing on growing to support women footballers in the country. Looking forward to yet another successful season by UWC in Hollywoodbets Super League.”
