CentreCircle.online has learnt that Banyana Banyana star Noxolo Cesane could be on the verge of joining Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies after she was spotted training with the reigning Hollywoodbets Super League champions.
As reported by this publication, the former University of the Western Cape (UWC) midfielder cum forward recently parted ways with Eastern Flames in Saudi Arabia after just one season.

The Gugulethu-born player, whose twin sister is based in Mexico, left UWC in September last year heading to the Middle East.
She returned to South Africa for the recent two international fixtures against Malawi and did not travel back to Eastern Flames, who still had two matches left to complete the season.

Should she put pen to paper with Banyana ba Style, she will be the second signing for interim head coach Godfrey Sapula after the acquisition of former University of Pretoria midfielder, Isabella Ludwig.
Sundowns Ladies has been the biggest supplier of players for the Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana, and Cesane will be in good company, joining the likes of Lebohang Ramalepe, Andile Dlamini, Bambanani Mbane, Karabo Dhlamini, Kholosa Biyana, Nonhlanhla Mthandi, Nthabiseng Majiya, Melinda Kgadiete and Tiisetso Makhubela, among others.

The 24-year-old was once in the colours of Stade Reims in France as well as for UANL Tigres in the Liga MX Femenil in Mexico.
In 2024 she was one of the key players that helped UWC lift their maiden TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA qualifiers trophy at their first attempt.
The Blues went on to make history by being the first university team to qualify for the CAF Women’s Champions League tournament proper – but Cesane was unable to play in the competition as she had already signed for Eastern Flames.

She comes to a Sundowns Ladies team that is currently in great form in the Hollywoodbets Super League with four victories in as many matches, and yet to concede.
They top the standings on 12 points, two ahead of second placed University of Johannesburg (UJ Ladies).
The Brazilians could extend their lead when they face a winless Royal AM at the UJ Soccer Stadium on Wednesday afternoon (23 April 2025) in the only midweek fixture of the Hollywoodbets Super League.
Kickoff is at 3pm.
