Week 7 of the Hollywoodbets Super League kicks off in earnest on Saturday (28 May 2022) with newcomers City Lads Ladies hosting Mpumalanga’s Coal City Wizards at the Gelvandale Stadium in Qgeberha.
After six outings, 15th placed City Lads will be hoping for their first win of the season, while the visitors will be eager to climb higher from their eighth position.
Kickoff for this encounter, which will be broadcast live on SABC TV, is at 11h30.

Reigning league champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, who are second on the table, are away to Thunderbirds Ladies in the eastern Cape – and will feature in the second match of the double header at the Gelvandale Stadium at 15h00.
The Brazilians were ruthless in the Tshwane Derby as they demolished neighbours TUT 5-1 to bounce back after their loss to UWC – and Banyana Ba Style are looking continue with their form against the Thunderbirds Ladies who are lying in sixth position.
Nothing will please the home side more than causing an upset against the African club Champions – but they Thunderbirds will have to work hard to achieve that feat as Sundowns are a well-oiled machine and can bang in lots of goals when on song. They are the top-scoring side with 31 goals after six rounds of play.
Five more matches will be played later in the day with a 15h00 start.
Following their goalless draw in their last fixture, giant-killers University of the Western Cape (UWC) welcome First Touch FC.
The Capetonians lie fourth on the table with 11 points, five adrift of leaders JVW, and they will be hoping to return to winnings way to stay within touching distance of the pacesetters.
The visiting Limpopo side has managed only two victories in 2022 and will want to improve on that scenario.
The clash takes place at the UWC Stadium.
Third-placed Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies are eyeing the top spot.
With four behind the leaders, they know that victory over Richmond United could get them ever so close to the summit when the two teams meet at the Central University of Technology in Bloemfontein.
Table-topping JVW face another acid test when they travel to Tshwane for a date with TUT, who are still licking their wounds after losing to Sundowns.
After their goalless draw in their previous outing, the Blue Diamonds are well aware that they cannot afford to drop further points as several teams are circling around and ready jump into the number one spot.
JVW are the only side yet to lose a fixture in 2022.

Ma-Indies will take the long trip to the Platberg Stadium in the Northern Cape to face the Tsunami Queens – who are still to register a win this season.
The Limpopo outfit hasn’t set the scene alight as they have mastered only three wins with as many losses in the six matches already played.
The UJ Soweto Soccer Stadium will be the scene for the clash between UJ FC and the struggling Golden Ladies who are bottom of the table, still trying to get their first win.
The North West side has only one point after five losses and just one draw – and will be eager to turn around their fortunes with this match.
The final fixture of the weekend takes place on Sunday (29 May) when Durban Ladies visit Vasco da Gama at the Parow Park Stadium in Cape Town, starting at 15h00.
The two sides are level on six points, occupying the 13th and 12th spots respectively – but the travellers have a game in hand.
