The eight teams battling it out for the coveted 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League title will be smiling all the way to the bank after the Confederation of the African Football (CAF) announced that the winners will walk away with a whopping USD 400 000 – which is just over seven million rands.
The runners up will pocket USD 250 000 (just over four and half million rand), while the losing semi-finalists will each pocket USD 200 000 (just over three and a half million rand).
The tournament runs from 30 October until 13 November.

South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies were the inaugural winners in 2021 after they defeated Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana 2-0 in the final played in Cairo, Egypt in November.
Masandawana have been drawn in Group B alongside Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens, TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Egypt’s Wadi Degla.

Group A has hosts ASFAR (Morocco), Green Buffaloes (Zambia), Simba Queens SC (Tanzania) and Determine Girls (Liberia).
The first two teams in the group proceed to the semi-finals.
