Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies forward, Nthabiseng Majiya was on fire as she netted a double brace when her side defeated City Lads Ladies 6-0 in a Hollywoodbets Super League clash in Gqeberha on Wednesday afternoon (30 April 2025).
The clash was one of eight games played on the day.
Against City Lads, Majiya started her third match out of seven in total – and she repaid interim coach Godfrey Sapula’s faith with four goals (11′, 27′, 34′, 74′).

Tiisetso Makhubela (44’) and Boitumelo Rabale (47’) chipped in with one each to complete the rout.
Sundowns Ladies, who are the defending league champions, are unbeaten since the start of the season, registering six wins and a draw. They are yet to concede.
Banyana ba Style are on 19 points, six ahead of second-placed University of Johannesburg (UJ Ladies) and JVW who are third.
Bottom of the table Royal AM suffered another defeat – their sixth in a row in as many matches. This time it was at the hands of UJ Ladies, with Gugu Dlamini, Ayanda Mnyembane and Adrielle Mibe scoring for the hosts.

JVW forward Bonolo Mokoma celebrated her birthday in style – netting a hattrick against a tough Copperbelt Ladies in a match played under lights. The Blue Diamonds won 3-0 to move to third on the table.
The University of Pretoria (Tuks) was humbled 3-1 by neighbours TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies in the Tshwane Derby. Khutso Mogano (52’), Sibongile Ntoane (54’) and second half substitute Mamokgaase Senyatsi (76’) found the back of the net for TUT, while Zanile Khoza grabbed the consolation goal for the home team. The result saw TUT jump from the seventh to the fourth spot on the table on 12 points.

TS Galaxy Queens were held to a goalless draw by the struggling University of the Western Cape (UWC). The Capetonians, who finished second in the last two seasons, are currently 12th on the table with just four points to their name after five matches. They have managed only one win, one draw and three losses. The Rockets are fifth on the log standings, with 11 points from six matches.
After winning 7-2 this past weekend, the University of Fort Hare (UFH) suffered a 1-0 defeat to newcomers Ezemvelo Ladies, while the other new kids on the block, the University of Cape Town (UCT) lost 2-1 to First Touch.
The Northern Cape’s Richmond United Ladies shared the spoils with Durban Ladies in a four goal thriller. Neither side has as yet tasted victory. The KwaZulu Natal outfit has played five games – two draws and three defeats, while Richmond United has collected just one point from three fixtures.

Action continues this weekend with a full line-up of fixtures on Sunday, 4 May 2025.
Reigning champions Sundowns Ladies will be hoping to continue their winning streak when they face the University of Fort Hare (UFH) at 11am at the TUT Main Stadium.
The Eastern Cape side is yet to collect points against the log leaders in their previous two games.
In the second match of the double header, a resurgent TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies will welcome the struggling Durban Ladies at 3pm.
Fireworks are expected to fly when JVW take on the University of Johannesburg at the UJ Soccer Stadium in Soweto at 1pm.
The University of the Western Cape (UWC) will travel to the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg for a date with the winless Royal AM. Kickoff is at 1pm.
At the Seshego Stadium in Polokwane, City Lads Ladies will visit hosts Copperbelt Ladies for a 3pm start.
Ezemvelo Women’s FC defeated a hard-running University of Fort Hare in their previous fixture and will be hoping to continue where they left off when they host tough customers, First Touch Ladies, at 3pm at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.
TS Galaxy Queens will be up against the University of Pretoria at the Kanyamazane Stadium in Mpumalanga at 3pm.
Richmond United Ladies will be in the Mother City to tackle the University of Cape Town (UCT) at the Kopano Astro at 3pm.
