Two institutions of learning are neck and neck in the battle for second place in the Hollywoodbets Super League, while JVW out not out of it yet – but will have to depend on the results of TUT and UWC.
The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and the University of the Western Cape (UWC) are tied on 59 points each as the league approaches the end.

JVW is six points adrift in fourth place.
TUT are currently in position two by virtue of a better goal difference – 37, while UWC are three goals adrift, but the latter has an advantage as they are left with three matches in the season, compared to TUT’s two fixtures.
UWC takes on neighbours Vasco da Gama in the Cape derby at 17h00 – and a win for the students could see them overtake TUT.
The Tshwane outfit will be in action on Saturday (19 November 2022) against First Touch FC.
TUT round off their league campaign a week later (Saturday, 26 November) when they face the relegated Golden Ladies while UWC take on Durban Ladies.

JVW still has to play UJ, Thunderbirds Ladies and the relegated Tsunami Queens.
Last season, TUT finished in second place, with UWC taking the third spot and JVW ending fourth – the same scenario is playing itself out as JVW are currently on the same spot.
With Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies lying 5th on 47 points and left with two games, they will not be able to overtake JVW.
