Banyana Banyana striker Jermaine Seoposenwe scored late in the second half to snatch a point for FC Monterrey as they shared the spoils with Pachuca Femenil on Match Day 2 of the Clausura in the Liga MX Femenil in Mexico on Sunday, 14 January 2024.
This was her first goal of the season.

After trailing 2-0 at the break, Rayadas del Monterrey clawed their way back into the match with a goal from Myra Delgadillo two minutes after the restart.
Seoposenwe, who played the entire match, made sure her side had something to smile about when she pounced with 11 minutes remaining to make it 2-all. And she could have easily scored a brace but was denied by the woodwork in the first half (28’).
The draw leaves Monterrey fifth on the table with four points after two matches.
They next welcome Necaxa on Thursday (18 January) for Match Day 3.
Seoposenwe’s goal comes shortly on the heels of compatriot Thembi Kgatlana grabbing a brace for her new team, Tigres UANL as they defeated UNAM 5-1 a day earlier in the Liga MX Femenil.
This will be welcome news for Desiree Ellis, Head Coach of the Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana as her players find their scoring boots ahead of the crucial two-legged 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifier against Tanzania next month.
