THUNDERBIRDS LADIES 1-1 SUNDOWNS LADIES:
Thunderbirds Ladies grabbed their first ever point against Mamelodi Sundown Ladies in four years (seven matches) when they held the defending champions of the Hollywoodbets Super League to a 1-all draw at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in East London.
In all their previous six meetings, the Brazilians walked away with maximum points – scoring 30 goals in the process.
But things turned out differently on Saturday (27 May) when the Eastern Cape side put an abrupt stop to Banyana ba Style’s six match winning streak.
After a goalless first half, Melinda Kgadiete put the visitors ahead before the lead was cancelled nine minutes later.

DURBAN LADIES 0-1 UWC:
The result in East London saw Sundowns Ladies, who were just one point ahead of the University of the Western Cape (UWC), drop to second place on the log standings after UWC grabbed a narrow 1-0 win over Durban Ladies at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.
Midfielder Kholosa Biyana scored the all-important goal that elevated them to the top spot with 39 points – one ahead of the reigning champions after 15 rounds of matches have been played.

COPPERBELT LADIES 1-3 TS GALAXY QUEENS:
Mpumalanga’s TS Galaxy Queens won the battle of the newcomers as they swept past Copperbelt Ladies of Limpopo 3-1 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Nicole Michael, Lerato Magagula and Nothando Vilakazi were on the scoresheet for the Rockets, who are third on the table with 34 points – four adrift of Sundowns Ladies, and five behind the log leaders.
TS Galaxy Queens haven’t lost a match in their last 14 fixtures.

JVW 2-0 UJ LADIES:
The University of Johannesburg’s bad run continues unabated after they lost their third match in a row – they have not collected maximum points in seven games.
In the latest round of fixtures, UJ Ladies were defeated 2-0 by JVW at the UJ Stadium in Soweto in a match that saw 15-year old new signee Anneliese Hindelang make her debut in goals for the Blue Diamonds, coming in for first choice goalkeeper Kaylin Swart in the 87th minute.

Keolebogile Putu (8’) opened the scoring against her former employers, with Gabby Salgado (35’) grabbing the second.
JVW are on the fourth spot with 30 points – nine behind the log leaders, while UJ are ninth.

MA-INDIES LADIES 0-2 TUT:
Ma-Indies Ladies are running a huge risk of failing to escape relegation as they continue to donate points in the league.
The Limpopo outfit lost their 13th match of the season, falling 2-0 to the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in Giyani.
The bottom-of-the-table outfit suffered their fifth loss in succession, conceding 17 goals during that period. TUT has now managed a hattrick of wins in a row after going through a slump where they were without victory in seven matches.

FIRST TOUCH 1-3 TUKS LADIES:
Five matches, four wins and a draw: that is the impressive story of the University of Pretoria (Tuks Ladies).
The Tshwane side registered their fourth victory on the spin with a 3-1 triumph over First Touch in the battle of the newcomers, with goals from Wendy Shongwe, Lethabo Ledwaba and Thembelihle Masibi.
Relebogile Phala scored an own goal to give the hosts something to shout about.
At the halfway of the season, Tuks are occupying the sixth position with a total of eight wins.
First Touch are lying 12th.

CITY LADS LADIES 3-1 COAL CITY WIZARDS:
At the Isaac Wolfson Stadium in Gqeberha, hosts City Lads Ladies won the battle of the strugglers as they managed their third victory (3-1) of the season against the troubled second-from-bottom Coal City Wizards of Mpumalanga.
The visitors have now lost five in a row – a total of 12 in the 2023 campaign, with only two wins and one draw.
This was City Lads’ first win in 10 games, they are 14th on the table.

RICHMOND UNITED 1-1 ROYAL AM:
In the only other draw of the Week 15, Richmond United and KwaZulu Natal’s Royal AM cancelled each other out when they finished 1-all at the De Beers Stadium in Kimberly.
The home side enjoyed their first point in a four games after losing three matches in a row. Royal AM find themselves falling to fifth place on the log standings following the dropping of points in the Northern Cape.
Richmond United is seventh.
