Of the two derbies on offer on Week 12 in the Hollywoodbets Super League, only one produced a victor while the other ended in a stalemate.
These were part of the eight matches played this weekend.

Copperbelt Ladies 2 – 1 Ma-Indies Ladies
Newcomers Copperbelt Ladies turned the tables on their more experienced opponents, Ma-Indies Ladies – winning the Limpopo Derby 2-1 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
This was their first ever meeting in the South African Premier Women’s Football League.
However Copperbelt Ladies remained on position 10 with 15 points – level with Durban Ladies.
Ma-Indies are still bottom-of-the-table on six points after 12 games – 10 losses and two wins.

UJ Ladies 1 – 1 TUT
The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) halted a five-game losing streak when they earned a point for the first time in six outings.
They shared the spoils in a 1-all draw in the Varsity Derby against the University of Johannesburg.
The clash took place at UJ Stadium in Soweto, with the home side playing their second Varsity Derby draw in as many matches – (they finished 2-2 with Tuks Ladies last weekend).
UJ Ladies is in seventh position with 20 points, while the visitors are 12th, 11 points behind.
The result means the Johannesburg outfit is yet to defeat TUT in the elite women’s league, with five losses and two draws.

UWC 3 – 0 Royal AM
The University of the Western Cape (UWC) continue to cement their position at the summit of the table after a convincing 3-0 win over Durban’s Royal AM at Parow Park in Cape Town.
A goal six minutes from the break and two more the other side of recess was enough to give the Capetonians victory as they try to escape the chasing pack, led by the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.
The Students are now on 33 points, while Royal AM is sixth on 21 points.

Tuks Ladies 2 – 0 Thunderbirds Ladies
At the nation’s capital, newcomers University of Pretoria (Tuks Ladies) were too good for the struggling Thunderbirds Ladies, defeating them 2-0 in their first ever meeting.
The win was enough to push the Students one notch up to eighth position after 12 fixtures, while Eastern Cape side sit on the 13th spot after eight defeats, two draws and two wins.

First Touch Academy 3 – 1 City Lads Ladies
City Lads Ladies of the Eastern Cape suffered their seventh loss in a row as they went down 3-1 to Limpopo’s First Touch Academy at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The visitors’ last win was on the 18th of March when they beat Thunderbirds Ladies 4-0.
This was First Touch’s third victory of the season, and the first time they have collected maximum points in back to back games.

Durban Ladies 0 – 1 JVW
JVW travelled to the Princess Magogo Stadium in Umlazi and returned home with all three points after beating Durban Ladies 1-0.
The home side suffered lost 6-1 to Sundowns Ladies last weekend, and this is their third defeat in a row – leaving them on the ninth position on the table.
JVW registered back to back wins to be on the fifth spot with 24 points.
It was raining goals on Sunday (7 May) at the Puma Stadium in Witbank, with 14 scored on the day in two matches.

Coal City Wizards 0 – 9 Sundowns Ladies
The double feast of goals started in the clash between defending league champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies who had no mercy for hosts Coal City Wizards – thrashing them 9-0 to become the biggest winners two weekend in a row (last week the Brazilians beat Durban Ladies 6-1).
In Mpumalanga, Banyana ba Style had five different scorers, led by Boitumelo Rabale with a hattrick, Melinda Kgadiete and Chuene Morifi with a brace each, while Regina Mogolola and Miche Minnies also registered a goal apiece.
They remain second on the table on 31 points, two adrift of UWC.
Coal City Wizards has now dropped to second from bottom.
TS Galaxy Queens 5 – 0 Richmond United
Mpumalanga’s TS Galaxy Queens continued in the second match with goals galore as they defeated the visiting Richmond United 5-0 in an exciting match-up of teams in third and fourth places respectively.
Leading 1-0 at the break from a Mamello Makhabane strike, the Rockets increased the tempo in the second half with two goals from Busisiwe Ndimeni, and one each from Nicole Michael and Nomvula Kgoale.
The result saw both sides swop places with TS Galaxy going third and Richmond dropping to fourth position.
