Reigning Hollywoodbets Super League champions and current log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies will be spitting fire when they face Thunderbirds Ladies in a midweek (Wednesday, 28 September 2022) fixture at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.
The Brazilians are still smarting from a 1-0 loss at the hands of their neighbours Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in their last outing this past weekend – suffering their second defeat of the season.

They will be hoping to make amends in this 3pm kick off against the mid-table Thunderbirds side that has blown hot and cold – with nine wins and 10 losses in 21 games.
In a late start (18h00), second-placed JVW FC will be watching the proceedings with great interest – they are they four points behind and a slip-up by the African champions will be most welcome. But they take on TUT, an outfit very high on confidence after their famous victory over the weekend. Both are level on 45 points, and dropping points will not do their league title challenge any favours.

They meet at the Wits Stadium.
Earlier in the day, Limpopo’s Ma-Indies and second-from bottom Tsunami Queens, who both suffered losses at the weekend, will be looking to bounce back when they face off in Polokwane.
Their match starts at 12h30.
The University of Johannesburg (UJ Ladies) will travel to the North West Province with a spring in their step after a convincing 3-0 win this past Saturday over Ma-Indies.

UJ Ladies takes on relegation-haunted Golden Ladies at the Montshioa Stadium. The hosts have managed only one victory in 21 matches – losing 17 in the process and will need a miracle to survive the chop.
After a run of four games without a win, Durban Ladies will be eager to make amends when they entertain Vasco da Gama at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi at 13h00.
Vasco will be hoping to continue where they left off after their big 4-0 victory over the weekend.
Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies started the league season but seem to be fading as campaign gains momentum.

Despite only losing two matches out of 20, they have drawn eight – which is the highest this season. They have 10 wins to their name, and will be eager to add on that figure when they go toe to toe with Northern Cape’s Richmond United at the Merino Park Stadium in De Aar.
City Lads Ladies collected maximum points in their last outing which has somewhat helped their course as they are hovering around the relegation area – they third from the bottom and will want to move out of the danger zone when they face Coal City Wizards in Witbank.
The University of the Western Cape is also one of the sides that showed a lot of promise in the beginning but in recent times their results have not been exciting.

Since beating Celtic Ladies 2-0 more than month ago (17 August), they have only managed four draws in as many matches. But then again – it was against three of the top teams in the league (Sundowns Ladies, JVW, TUT) as well as Thunderbirds.
They will want to return to the winners’ circle when they visit First Touch FC at Baroka Village in Polokwane.
The hosts are on the wrong end of the table and will want to improve their position, so it will not be an easy match for both sides.
