Hollywoodbets Super League log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies had to settle for a point after a tough day at the office whey they were held to a 1-1 draw by the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in an exciting clash at the Tuks Stadium in Pretoria.
The visiting students found the equaliser through Ntombifikile Ndlovu after Chuene Morifi had given the hosts the lead in the 35 minute with her fourth strike of the season.

“It was a very tough encounter against one of the most inform sides in the league at the moment. Like I said during the build-up to the game, Thinasonke Mbuli has done a very good job with this team, and I am not surprised with the fearlessness they possess in their games. Although we could have loved to win the game, I am still happy with the way we fought gallantly. There is a lot of football to be played in the next few weeks and we will take our lessons and move on to the next,” said Sundowns Ladies coach Jerry Tshabalala on the club’s website.
The Brazilians top the table with 46 points after 15 victories in 17 outings – with one loss and a draw.
