Durban Ladies defeated neighbours Royal AM 4-2 to not only claim bragging rights in the KwaZulu Natal Derby but also register their first win of the season in the Hollywoodbets Super League on Heritage Day.
The bottom of the table team has now collected eight points in 23 matches but still remain in danger of relegation. Royal AM is second from the foot of the log standings with 13 points after 23 matches.

Reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies travelled to Merino Park in the Northern Cape and returned with maximum points following a slender but crucial 1-0 win over Richmond United. The result was enough to see the Brazilians open a three-point gap at the top after second placed TS Galaxy Queens dropped points when they were held to a goalless draw by the University of Cape Town (UCT).
Both teams have played 20 games each, and Sundowns Ladies is on 50 points while the Rockets have 47 despite only one defeat so far this campaign.
The University of Fort Hare (UFH) has maintained their third spot with a dominant 4-2 victory against Copperbelt Ladies. The Eastern Cape side has played 25 matches with 11 wins and 10 draws – they are on 43 points, seven behind the log leaders.

TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies has kept up with the chasing pack and lie at position four following a 3-1 triumph over Ezemvelo Ladies. After 23 rounds of fixtures the Tshwane outfit has collected 41 points, while Ezemvelo are ninth on 28 points.
JVW, who were not in midweek action, complete the top five on 36 points in 19 matches.
The University of the Western Cape (UWC) won the Varsity Derby with a 2-0 success against the University of Johannesburg – this was the repeat of the 2025 Varsity Women’s Football final within a week, with the Capetonians continuing where they left off with another victory.
First Touch Ladies and City Lads Ladies cancelled out each other in a 1-all draw.
