TS Galaxy Queens shot to the top of the Hollywoodbets Super League despite being held to a goalless draw by a determined TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies on Wednesday (19 March 2025) at the TUT Stadium in Tshwane.

This was the Mpumalanga side’s second match of the season in a start and stop 2025 campaign that has seen only a few teams kickstart the championship.

The Rockets are now on four points, following their first victory of the season where they defeated First Touch 2-0 with Promise Selana netting a brace.

“We played much better than the first game. Yes, we won the first game, but we played much better I think today. We created about six chances if I’m not mistaken that also includes a penalty that we got. But we there was definitely an improvement, I was happy with the shift, the performance, and also happy with our ball rotation,” said Sibiya.

The former TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies coach admitted, however, that the students came well prepared, and TS Galaxy will gladly take the point and run.

“It was a very tough game honestly, I don’t want to put it any other way, it was a very tough game however we stuck to our plan. We created a lot of chances that on any given day we could have punished you know we could have buried but today it wasn’t to be I mean if you find yourself missing a penalty in the early stages of the of the of the game then now you have to now pick it up and now gradually get into it create 2-3 more chances you know things like that, but the girls put in a good shift,” added Sibiya.

“The game had a lot of hot and cold moments if I may put it that way, but we take the point away from home we accept there’s a lot that we are going to improve on.”

Following their goalless draw against First Touch in the opening match of the season, TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies finished their second match of the campaign with a share of the spoils.

“It was very interesting; it was one game that we were actually looking forward to because we were playing against a very good side where we are able to see where we actually can improve, where we actually need to fix. We were looking in getting three points but unfortunately it was a draw but for us it’s good,” said Christina Kutumela, coach of TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies.

Elsewhere, the University of Fort Hare emerged victorious 1-0 in the Varsity Derby against the visiting University of Johannesburg (UJ Ladies) at the Davidson Stadium in Alice, Eastern Cape.
