Players of the Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana continue to make their mark in Mexico with Jermaine Seoposenwe and Sinoxolo Cesane getting on the scoresheet for their respective teams on Tuesday (23 April 2024).
Seoposenwe started for Monterey Femenil against a struggling second-from-bottom Atletico de San Luis Femenil and opened the floodgates in a 7-nil win in a Liga MX clash at the BBVA Stadium on Match Day 15 of the Clausura 2024.
Her well-taken goal in the sixth minute was a well-taken goal just inside the box – a curler that gave the opposition keeper no chance.
The victory helped continue the dominance of the Rayadas against the opposition with their 13th win in a row.
Seoposenwe has now scored eight goals after 15 rounds of fixtures.
With the result, Rayadas shot to the top of the table on 38 points, just one ahead of the defending champions, Thembi Kgatlana’s UANL Tigres.

Elsewhere, Cesane was in the starting line-up for Mazatlán FC Femenil and grabbed the third goal for her side in a 3-2 win over Necaxa Femenil.
This was her fifth of the season. The goal, giving the Sinaloa side a 3-nil lead, was a replica of Seoposenwe’s strike.

Cesane lasted 85 minutes in the match, while her compatriot, Hilda Magaia, checked in in the 58th minute with her side leading 3-1.
With 13 points after 15 games, Mazatlán is 14th on the table – they lost 10, won 4 and drew one.
Their next assignment is against U.N.A.M Pumas on Monday (29 April).

In Mexico, Seoposenwe is leading goal scorer among the South African contingent.
