Newcomers into the Hollywoodbets Super League, TS Galaxy Queens, have relieved their coach Sizwe Sibiya of his duties – just as teams are about to start with their pre-season training.
CentreCircle.online has it on good authority that the former Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) mentor will not be on the bench for The Rockets in the upcoming season.
It is still not clear who will take his place when the league commences in March.

Sibiya was the second coach to be in charge of the new kids on the block after taking over from Jabulile Baloyi who was appointed head coach following the acquisition of Cape Town’s Vasco da Gama’s status early in 2023.
However, Baloyi lasted only six matches despite a good showing – two wins, three draws and one loss, leaving them with nine points.
Enter Sibiya who went on a great run and was a close contender for the top spot at some point, and, for first timers, however, they did very well ending fourth.
The former Black Leopards and Alexandra United midfielder managed a total of 61 points (including the nine by Baloyi).
TS Galaxy Queens finished behind JVW (63 points – 3rd place), UWC (75 points – 2nd place) and Sundowns Ladies ((81 points – Champions).

In 2022, Sibiya was instrumental in helping TUT to third place, and may not struggle to find suitors due to his prowess in women’s football.
When he joined TS Galaxy Queens, the team had nine points – and he would have a magnificent run of 17 wins, three draws (First Touch, Thunderbirds Ladies & Copperbelt Ladies) as well as four losses (Tuks Ladies, TUT, Richmond United and Sundowns Ladies).
The great run saw the newcomers end the season in fourth place on 61 points – a remarkable achievement.
They were just two points shy of JVW who occupied the third spot for the first time in their three year existence in the elite women’s league.
Sibiya was unavailable for comment and it remains to be seen where he will surface in the 2024 season.
