The second instalment of the Hollywoodbets Super League returns this coming weekend after their off season break since December.
With two new sides added to the mix, there will be 16 teams this season following the promotion of the Western Cape’s Vasco da Gama and Eastern Cape’s City Lads Ladies into the elite women’s league.
The pair was campaigning in the Sasol League last year and finished first and second respectively at the National Championships playoff.
For the first time in the league, there will be relegation and promotion – with two going down and the finalists of the Sasol League National Championships at the end of the year will join the Super League.

Reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns will begin their title defence on Sunday, 24 April 2022 when they face Ma-Indies FC in the second match of a double header at the Giyani Stadium at 15h00.
Prior to this clash, Limpopo’s First Touch FC will welcome Tsunami Queens at 11h30 at the same venue.
The 2022 season gets underway on Saturday, 23 April CR Vasco da Gama travels to the Central University of Technology for a date with Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies, while the University of the Western Cape (UWC) face off against newcomers City Lads Ladies at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium in Qgeberha.

Witbank’s Coal City Wizards welcome the University of Johannesburg (UJ) at the Puma Stadium, with JVW FC hosting Richmond United at the Wits Stadium.
Golden Ladies will entertain Thunderbirds Ladies at the North West University in Mahikeng.
All Saturday matches kick off at 15h00.
Meanwhile there is still uncertainty regarding the fixture between hosts Durban Ladies and the Tshwane University of Technology due to the recent disaster owing to heavy rains in the province. The organisers are still trying to determine if it is safe for the travelling party to go and play.
A decision will be taken in the next 72 hours.
