The Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana conceded late in the match to hand Sweden a 2-1 win in their Group G clash in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Sunday (23 July) in Wellington, New Zealand.
South Korea-based Hilda Magaia put the South Africans in the league in the 48th minute before Sweden restored parity through Fridolina Rolfo in the 65th minute and Amanda Ilestedt netted the winner in the 90th minute.
