The Hollywoodbets Super League has returned for the remainder of the 2023 season after a month-long break due to the FIFA Women’s World Cup that was held in both Australia and New Zealand.
First up in action was the University of Pretoria (Tuks Ladies) who defeated neighbours the Tshwane University of Technology in the Varsity Derby midweek (Wednesday, 23 August 2023).

Tuks Ladies continued where they left off before the recess, notching up their sixth win a row since their 2-all draw against the University of Johannesburg (UJ Ladies) back in April.
The Tshwane side has since accounted for the scalps of Thunderbirds Ladies (2-0), Richmond United (2-1), Ma-Indies Ladies (7-0), First Touch Academy (3-1), Copperbelt Ladies (7-0), TS Galaxy Queens (2-1) and now recently TUT.

Tuks Ladies will have no time to catch their breath as they return to the field on Sunday (28 August) where they will be hosting City Lads Ladies of the Eastern Cape, in the only match of the day.
Kickoff is at 15h00.
There will be four games taking place on Saturday (26 August).

UJ Ladies will be at home as they entertain the travelling University of the Western Cape (UWC).
The hosts will be hoping for positive results after the corresponding fixture was won 2-0 by the Capetonians.
The match will be played at the UJ Soccer Stadium in Soweto.

JVW will be in Giyani to take on bottom-of-the-table Ma-Indies who will need a miracle to survive the relegation axe as the season draws to a close.
The Limpopo outfit has lost nine matches in a row – a total of 17 for the season after 19 games – while the Blue Diamonds, who won this first round clash 1-0, will want to remain within touching distance with the pace-setters.

In a match that promises to produce fireworks at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in Mpumalanga, third-placed TS Galaxy Queens will come face to face with Royal AM, who are fourth. Nothing could separate the two sides the last they met in March (2-2).

Log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies will hit the road in search of three points against newcomers Copperbelt Ladies. The two meet at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Banyana Ba Style, who will be without the injured influential defender, Bambanani Mbane, won the 4-1 in their first ever encounter in the Hollywoodbets Super League in March this year.
Kick-off is at 15h00 for all the fixtures.
The Brazilians are playing only one match and will then focus their attention on the upcoming CAF Women’s Champions League | COSAFA Qualifiers 2023 to will be staged in Durban from August 30 – September 8 in Durban.
The matches will be played at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont and at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu.
Sundowns Ladies depart on Monday, 28 August for the tournament.
