Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have opened a five-point gap at the top of the Hollywoodbets Super League standings following a convincing 5-1 triumph over neighbours TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies on Sunday (28 September 2025).
The reigning champions are still on track to retain their title as they sit on 53 points, while second-placed TS Galaxy Queens are on 48 – both are left with nine games each.
A brace each from Isabella Ludwig (1’, 24’) and Noxolo Cesane (5’, 43’) as well a strike by Refiloe Tholakele (70’) were enough to hand over the Brazilians victory in the Tshwane Derby.
TUT are fourth on the table on 41 points after 24 games.

Title-chasers TS Galaxy Queens slipped further back in the race when they were held to a 2-all draw against Ezemvelo Ladies. After going neck and neck with the log leaders, The Rockets now trail by five points and will be hoping Banyana ba Style also drop points remaining nine matches for them (TS Galaxy Queens) to claw back into contention.
The University of Fort Hare (UFH) continued with their good run as they brushed aside First Touch Ladies 5-0 at the Davidson Stadium in Alice. The result sees them seven points behind the leader of the pack Sundowns Ladies, but the Eastern Cape outfit has played 26 matches, with only four left to conclude the 2025 campaign.
Fifth placed JVW beat relegation-haunted Durban Ladies 2-1 to further cement the latter to the quagmire. The Blue Diamonds are on 39 points after 20 games, while the KwaZulu Natal side is languishing at the basement of the table on eight points.

Durban Ladies have six games remaining – 18 potential points – but could be relegated if they lost this coming weekend against the University of the Western Cape (UWC) and on the other hand First Touch Ladies win their game against Copperbelt Ladies in the Limpopo Derby.
Newcomers the University of Cape Town notched their 10th win of the season in 26 rounds of fixtures to occupy the sixth spot with 36 points – just three behind the Blue Diamonds. UCT defeated the struggling Royal AM who are second from bottom and on 13 points after 24 games.
There was also a win for Richmond United Ladies, defeating City Lads Ladies 2-1 in Gqeberha, while Copperbelt Ladies and UWC shared the spoils in a 2-all draw in Polokwane.
