The evening of Sunday, 01 November 2026 has been set aside to honour the Hollywoodbets Super League stars, and the glittering ceremony will be held at Vodaworld near Midrand.
The 2025 campaign will go down as one of the most fiercely contested seasons where champions, and record six-times winners, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, were pushed all the way.
JVW finished second, their highest ever position since promotion from the Sasol League back in 2021, while TS Galaxy Queens took third place – and both were tied on 69 points each, 11 behind Banyana ba Style.

Forward Leandra Smeda (TS Galaxy Queens) is guaranteed to walk away with the Top Goalscorer award, but there will be seven other prizes to be contested for:
- Referee of the Season
- Assistant Referee of the Season
- Players’ Player of the Season
- Young Player of the Season
- Goalkeeper of the Season
- Coach of the Season
- Player of the Season
After spending several years abroad in Europe, Smeda returned to South Africa and joined TS Galaxy Queens where she was converted from a midfielder to a forward – a move that paid dividends.
The Capetonian finished top of the goalscorers’ chart with an impressive 24 goals during the 2025 campaign, leaving behind her closest contender, Bonolo Mokoma of JVW, by six goals. Smeda bettered the number of goals scored by the 2024 winner, Boitumelo Rabale of Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies who managed 17 goals.

“I feel really good about the achievement, and I didn’t see this one coming because for the past 6-8 years I’ve played as a CM, CDM, CD mostly at the various clubs I was with, not as an attacker,” Smeda recently told CentreCircle.online
The Players’ Player of the Season award is a prestigious accolade where the winner is voted for by her peers, with Sundowns Ladies captain and defender Lebogang Ramalepe named the victor in 2024.
There have been a lot of enterprising youngsters in the Hollywoodbets Super League in recent years, which leads to the Young Player of the Season award becoming a battleground for those who are 18 years or younger during the season in question.
Khwezi Khoza lifted this trophy in the previous campaign.

The University of Johannesburg’s Matshidiso Masebe was crowned the 2024 Goalkeeper of the Season but the last line of defence was in fantastic form in 2025 and it will be interesting to see who claims the crown.
Two other hotly contested awards are the Coach of the Season and Player of the Season, and all will be revealed on Sunday, 1 February.
Former Sundowns Ladies head coach Jerry Tshabalala took home the former trophy before leaving the Chloorkop side and subsequently joining SC Casablanca in Morocco. In the latter category, former University of the Western Cape (UWC) captain, Amogelang Motau, who now plies her trade in Mexico, scooped the Player of the Season accolade.
The League Champions will also be honoured on the night.
