South Africa’s Jermaine Seoposenwe had the last laugh as she scored for Rayadas to help them to a 4-1 win against Club Tijuana where she faced compatriots Hilda Magaia and Amogelang Motau in a Liga MX Femenil clash in Mexico on Saturday (11 October 2025).
The two Banyana Banyana players were in the starting line-up with Motau withdrawn in the 88th minute, while Magaia played the full 90 minutes – Seoposenwe came off the bench in the 61st minute to score in referee’s optional time (90+2’).
This was her second strike for the season, but first in the league – the other goal came in the 8-1 victory over El Salvador’s Allianza Women in the CONCACAF Champions W Cup in September.
The 4-1 triumph was the eighth consecutive win for Rayadas over Club Tijuana.
Diana García, Lucía García and Christina Burkenroad scored the other goals for Monterrey, while Kader Hancar responded for Club Tijuana.
The result leaves Seoposenwe’s side in position six on 26 points after 15 matches.
Rayadas return to league action on Monday, 20 October where they take on Club Leon – but before then, they will travel to the USA to tackle Washington Spirit on Wednesday (15 October) for the third and final group stages match in the CONCACAF W Champions Cup in a decider to see who will progress to the semi-finals.
Rayadas is currently third on the table with six points, one behind Spirt. Gotham FC leads the group on 10 points, with Rise Academy and Allianza Women fourth and fifth respectively, and out of the equation.
