History beckons at 2021 AFCON as women match officials take charge

For the first time in the history of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, a team of woman match officials will be a in charge of a game.

Thirty-five year old Salima Rhadia Mukansanga has been appointed to referee the fixture between Zimbabwe and Guinea tomorrow (Tuesday, 18 January) taking place at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.

Rwandan-born Mukansanga’s assistants are from Cameroon and Morocco.
