The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper shortlist revealed

Football’s world-governing body, FIFA, has announced a shortlist of The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper, as well as that of the The Best Men’s Goalkeeper.

The final three nominees in  The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper category, are (in alphabetical order):

  • Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany / Chelsea FC Women)

  • Christiane Endler (Chile / Paris Saint-Germain / Olympique Lyonnais)

  • Stephanie Lynn Marie Labbé (Canada / FC Rosengård / Paris Saint-Germain)

The goalkeeping  awards are given to the outstanding goalkeeper in women’s and men’s football as voted for by an international jury respectively comprising the current coaches of all women’s/men’s national teams (one per team), the current captains of all women’s/men’s national teams (one per team), one specialist journalist from each territory represented by a national team and fans registered on FIFA.com.

On Thursday, 6 January, FIFA will announce the final three nominees for The Best FIFA Women’s Coach and The Best FIFA Men’s Coach.

The unveiling of The Best FIFA Women’s Player and The Best FIFA Men’s Player is expected to be made on Friday, 7 January during an online event featuring FIFA Legends Kristine Lilly and Sami Khedira.

The final three nominees for the FIFA Puskás Award were announced on 4 January.

All the winners of The Best FIFA Football Awards™ 2021, including the recipients of the FIFA Fan Award and the FIFA Fair PlayAward, will be crowned on 17 January during a TV show to be broadcast live from the Home of Football in Zurich, Switzerland.
