Banyana Banyana players continue to impress in Mexico with forwards Jermaine Seoposenwe and Thembi Kgatlana finding the back of the net in their recent matches while midfielder Amogelang Motau got her first start in the colours of Club Tijuana
The Cape Town-born Seoposenwe came off the bench to grab the winning goal for FC Monterrey in additional time as they defeated former employers, FC Juarez 2-1 on Day 14 of the Liga MX Femenil.

The clash took place on Tuesday (25 March 2025).
This was Seoposenwe’s third match in a row where she has been coming on as a second half substitute after missing three games due to injury. She has now scored five goals in 11 outings.
The result left Monterrey lying sixth on the table, on 26 points.

Kgatlana struck very early in the 13th minute to give UANL Tigres a 1-0 lead against log leaders Club America but could not help her side as they went down 2-1 on Sunday (23 March 2025).
This was her seventh goal of the current campaign in 13 matches. Tigres is fourth spot on the log standings on 26 points, seven behind Club America.
Elsewhere Motau got her first start for Club Tijuana as they played to a goalless draw against Pachuca also on Tuesday. She has now featured in five games for the Mexican side and was an unused substitute in one game since her arrival in January.

The former University of the Western Cape (UWC) captain has one goal to her name which she scored in the 2-2 draw against FC Juarez recently.
Other players also holding their own in the Mexican women’s football league are Hilda Magaia who is sitting on four goals after 13 games.
Sinoxolo Cesane, who has not been called up for the upcoming camp, has managed three strikes in 13 matches.

With the national team training camp for the Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana camp starting on Monday (31 March), the performance of the overseas-based players will come as good news for head coach, Dr Desiree Ellis, as she may be forced to rely on them.
