The Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana were given another footballing lesson by Brazil in an international friendly match played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
The South Americans defeated their hosts 6-0 to add to the 3-0 they inflicted to the African champions four days ago at the Orlando Stadium to return home with a 9-0 aggregate victory.

Both countries are using the two matches to prepare for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
In Durban, the visitors led 2-0 at the break before the net bulged four times after recess.
Adriana Leal da Silva, Debora de Oliveira (brace), a Beatriz Joao penalty, Maria da Silva and Kathellen Sousa were on the scoresheet for Brazil.
The result is a clear indication of how much work is needed in the Banyana Banyana squad before they get to the World Cup.

The clash against Brazil, who recently lifted the Copa America title, is one of many planned by Desiree Ellis and her charges in their quest to be ready for the Australia and New Zealand women’s football showpiece.
