Banyana Banyana midfielder Noxolo Cesane has become the second South African to move to Mexico in the Liga MX Femenil.
This after she completed her move from Division One Stade de Reims in France to Tigres UANL.
The former University of the Western Cape player made headlines when she was signed by the French side in September last year

But things did not go according to plan and she was a part player, with seven matches since her arrival – making her seek employment elsewhere to get more game time so as to be in contention to be part of the Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana squad for FIFA Women’s World Cup to be played in Australia and New Zealand from 20 July to 20 August this year.
“I am so excited about this new move, it is a long time I haven’t played and I hope things will change and I will do what I love most, playing. I can’t wait to get there,” said Cesane from France where she is waiting for her visa to travel to Mexico to join her new teammates.
“With this being the World Cup year, I know every player is fighting hard to make the final squad, hence I made the switch so I can remain on the coach’s radar.”

In Mexico, Cesane will join Banyana Banyana striker Jermaine Seoposenwe, who has made been making headlines in that country following her move in August last year.
The Cape Town-born player is on the books of FC Juarez.
“I spoke to her and she is equally excited and very proud of my move. But she told that the most important thing is to show the club what I am really capable of,” added Cesane.

Tigres Femenil and Monterey Femenil have both won four out of four but the former lie second on the league table due to goal difference.
FC Juarez are in fifth position in the 18-team league – they have won three matches and lost just once.
Cesane’s new side won 2-0 on Tuesday (31 January) against Toluca Devils, and will next be in action on Monday (6 February) when they host Atlético de San Luis.
It is not clear if the 22-year Banyana Banyana star will have arrived in the country.
